The New England Kit

Post by Kwacky »

So we're heading for another summer of footballing disappointment as the England squad head to Brazil.

As usual the FA have come up with a new shirt.

Yours for a mere £90.

They look quite tight, stretchy and tailored...

Imagine those on the average sized football fan (wasntme) I do hope they stretch well (rolf)

Damn some of the games appear to be in the middle of the night. So the roads won't be empty

£90 screw that.
Hoping I can watch the games before work really looking forward to it. We won't last long but I think this time we might atcually give some middle teams a good challenge haha!! We do have some decent players now and young too they have the guts to go for glory the older players don't...they just don't want the newspaper headaches really

The best I'm going to do is sod off to Belgium for one of the weekends so we can watch an England game in peace without having to worry about it all kicking off when we lose.

A handful of us are off to Ghent.

So little hype surrounding it this time. Whereas before it was rammed on anything you could get an England shirt fitted on.

Perhaps as expectations are low we could actually do something this year. I'm afraid I lost my mojo for England football the last time round and I am one of those sad people who put club before country, but then being a Gooner you have got to be hard nosed :)

I haven't even bought a shirt this time and at 90 smackeroos I won't be buying one.
Due to the tight fit on those things there's a lot of lads and lasses who will be looking like something wrapped in cling film. Not a good look

Last time I watched the national side was 2002. Ever since I've gone out on the bike instead.
I likewise put club before country, but even then I am strictly an armchair Toffeeman.

So you're a gooner?

One of the happiest days of my life

Sadly we've fallen apart since then.

I'm not a football fan as such. I won't watch football for the sake of it. I'm a Birmingham fan and I support my club. I can watch other games but I couldn't tell you which players are likely to line up for another team.

Club before Country all the way, no matter how many times we get thumped 4+ nil this season... Come on you Spurs! ;)

Kwacky ;(

Used to be a season ticket holder once upon a time ,but strictly radio 5 now. Very stressful as soon as we lose possession I have to turn the volume down

Can't watch Arsenal play on TV unless it's a final, it's a superstition thing ;)

I would have to watch highlights when the result is good. V

You weren't the only one Frankie, bin liner with compulsory bungee's springs to mind. Unfortunately.

Anyway next year we've got the Rugby World Cup right here - sorry to say the bodies on most Rugby fans are sadly the same shape but taller and wider. But at least they don't want to kill one another...

I used to like the old rugby shirts - thick and not fitted so you could hide your winter spread.
