What's your guilty pleasure?

Post by Itchy »

Go on then, 'fess up.

I reckon most people on here would say speeding. Perhaps not habitually, but there's something so satisfying about accelerating hard and seeing the speedo flying towards the wrong side of 3 digits!

My main one at the moment is watching certain German car fails on YouTube.

I know it's wrong to laugh at other people's misfortune, especially when the source of that misfortune is likely to cost them hundreds or thousands of pounds.

I know not all of these people are twats, I know a few people on this very forum have those cars, so I apologise in advance and wouldn't wish it on anyone, but there is something so satisfying to me to watch these guys stove it in at the Nurburgring, or just as they've pulled a particularly dickish move captured on someone's dash cam.

Perhaps it's something to do with the stereotypical basis of seeing so many of them acting like complete and utter pricks on the road, and I find some solace in imagining that the guy crashing is a prick.

Ha! This is a thread I probably should stay away from. Some people already have a low enough opinion of me. :D

A bag of Haribo Tangfastics when I fill up, I can even tell you the cheapest filling stations to buy them. (blush)

I do drink too much gin, but as I don't feel guilty about it it doesn't count. :D

Hmmm....there's lots of things I do that I probably shouldn't....but I don't remember ever feeling guilty about any of them. Well, not guilty enough to stop, anyway.

This is a dangerous thread :?

Speeding for sure, but I feel I'm reasonably sensible with it...

Same as DeeGee, too much gin but I don't feel guilty either as I go dry for 3 weeks every time I'm at work

Probably the only thing I feel guilty about is eating to many crisps when I'm stoned (lol)

I guess really I've 2 things that do make me feel guilty.

My morning cappuccino at the station, and buying bike bling. I just feel a little selfish sometimes as some of the bits I buy are quite expensive, and are just for my part-time...

Guilty pleasures.. hmm.

Definitely buying unnecessary things in general - gym clothes, costa coffee..

Besides that the biggest one is probably Justin Beiber (lol)

In the same sort of style as yours Itchy I like watching really really awful musicians on youtube, I know I shouldn't laugh at them coz they are trying and good on them for getting out there but sometimes I just need reminding that I'm actually not too bad a musician and that it could always be worse.

Well, if you're laughing at them at least you're enjoying them...albeit not in the way that they intended...??

I suppose another guilty pleasure could be my Les Paul guitars....I don't bother with them much these days...and I've got my eye on getting one or two more, as long as they're the right ones...I figure I can always get money out of them later if needs be.

Or that's what I always tell myself.

Wait for the left overs ..... eating a clean diet and staring at chicken nugget chips and beans is like torture.
