Thanks for the good wishes guys, I appreciate it although for me it is not a day I relish or celebrate anymore as it was my birthday 19 years ago that my mother died at the age of 61.
It is better to arrive 30 seconds late in this world than 30 years early in the next

Then mate, all I can suggest is use your birthday to celebrate BOTH your lives together.
Spend some quiet time by yourself and drink a toast to her, and to all that she gave you, which is.....everything.

I hear what you re saying. I learnt to deal with it a long time ago. It isjust a day I don't celebrate anymore, and I don't usually mention it to anyone because my family know that it is not a day I particularly enjoy, and in any case drinking a toast to her with a glass of water doesn't really cut it being tee total as I am ;)
