This sends out all the wrong messages

Post by T.C. »

Makes a complete mockery of the legal process in this country. What sort of message does this send out? (as if we don't know the answer already)

They were talking about this on the news this morning.

I would love to know what his offences were.

Maybe the reason for his exception is the popular "without his licence his employment would be serious;ly jeopardised" .
:? That would most certainly be the case if he was Traffic Plod...
...Just sayin...

It's making a joke of the law. 62 fecking points? He ought to have his licence removed permanently.

But The Law is a joke mostly, isn't it.?
I mean, permanently removing his licence sounds like you believe justice should be applied.? -It increasingly seems that Law is applied to ensure the frustration of justice.

Don't go all daily mail on us.

The law works pretty well in this country. Don't allow a few headlines to convince you otherwise.

Exceptions to every rule...I'm sure the judge knows what he's doing. The legal system in the UK works remarkably well...despite the best efforts of the naysayers.

But surely 62 points is ridiculously high and you must be thinking to yourself would you want to be riding next to these clowns? It feels to me like the intelligence service...we had reason to believe that the suspect was planning to bomb us but didn't do anything to stop him killing hundreds of people

This came up on another site....I think??

If it was the same case (and I'm not 100% certain it is)...I'm pretty sure that the welfare of a 3rd party also played a mitigating factor in the judge's decision.

So there.
