Speaking of which.....on the news right now... Johnny Walker has just announced a line of Game Of Thrones - themed whiskeys. A must-have for any true GoT fan.

Quite the opposite i'm afraid.

I'm very dependant on the value of the £ and it's economics and dependant on travel to and from the UK.

If Brexit isnt handled correctly i may well lose my ability to freely travel, live and work in the EU too.

There are a lot of expats in europe and a lot of them are panicking presently.

Or even just French.

It seems Johnson may be about to say he wants a delay to Brexit.

Even the most ardent Brexiteers are now shitting themselves from the fall out of a No Deal.

In mitigation, I did finish my glib retort to your post with a question mark (as I had a strong feeling that it may be wrong).

Unfortunately.

I also presumed that you had taken dual-nationality.
Re "other ex-pats", I wonder how it is for the ones in Spain.: I'm pretty certain that my baby brother had to relinquish his UK citizenship when he moved to Spain, as they do not allow dual citizenship.

Hmmm, I can't see that happening.

The timing is all about the new EU laws regarding tax evasion. There's no way May will delay Brexit. If she does she'll piss off her backers.

I expect that most of them will simply blame the coming catastrophe on May not "doing a proper brexit" or "negotiating the right terms"
It already seems that the Brexiteers will all blame the mess on them not getting what they voted for..
:?
Really.????
Well "remain-ers" certainly didn't..... :x

No worries at all. We are trying to go down a dual citizenship route, however the French are being very slow (nothing new there) and actively blocking it at the moment until Brexit is resolved.

The older expats out here and in spain have automatic medical rights which may disappear after brexit. If so there will be boatloads (many hundreds of thousands) coming back. I'm sure the UK has enough old people and doesnt want any more :P

The media of course have forgotten there are many brits working and living abroad.

I really want to be proud of the UK and proud to be a Brit. It's getting very difficult to be so.
