That's a bit of a reach.

Maybe, but true. They had the choice of a minority Tory Government which would probably have led to another election or a coalition with the Tories.

Probably?? Then it's not "true" really, is it??

More like a possibility, one would have thought.

So was the plan to put Brexit to the public agreed by the LibDems or did the Tories put it in the following general election manifesto to gain the UKIP vote? My memory says the latter.

No of course not, but what ever you say the Tories would not have been in power without Libdem support. They were the King makers.

Or libdem didn't agree, the Tories called another election but this time the Tories promised a referendum on Europe and they get back in with a majority and Brexit happened sooner.

Three things got the Tories in to power a world wide financial crash, Tory spin and the Libdems. Without them they wouldn't have been in a position to offer an EU referendum.

We could go around like this all day, but I'm not going to change my mind and I suspect neither will you.

I actually tactically voted Libdem in the coalition election on the basis that I lived in Surrey and better them than the Tories. I won't make that mistake again.

The coalition killed the LibDem party. They were just starting to gain momentum and could have been a proper alternative. Getting into bed with the Tories set them back years. It's a shame as I actually liked Clegg, he could have gone far.

Which is why I think they need to reinvent themselves now as the centrist party. Get a decent leader in (Cable is not the answer) and chase votes by being Pro-Europe.

I don't know much about the LibDems but Layla Moran has always come across well when I've seen her on the telly. She might be a bit too young though. What we don't need is another old white bloke at the helm.

........... and take votes from Labour keeping the Tories in power.

Believe it or not, I'm not a big fan of Party politics and would welcome a left wing coalition. But my first and foremost ambition is getting these B@stards out.

A lot of Tory voters are pissed off with the conservative party. I think a decent LibDem team would take voters away from May and her mutiny.

That's is possible, but it won't be May. She'll be long gone before the next election.
