The whole Redknap thing confuses me. Fair enough, he came in late in the season and kept us up. If the Board weren't convinced, why offer him a contract and then spend a decent amount of cash in the summer on a new team?

if Redknapp wasn't that into the job, why take it on?

its sorta like what happened at spurs in that he did fairly well, invested in him then sacked him, makes you wonder what hes like behnd the scenes for this to keep happening

Paddy Power are forever winding up Villa fans, but that's in very bad taste.

I had the strangest dream last night....I dreamt that not only did Spurs beat Madrid but that they absolutely trounced them! cant have been real though.....

I wanted tickets for that game so badly but no chance which was a bit of a shame, ah well!

Good result for your lot.

We're in freefall. It's clearly not the manager as we're on our 3rd this year.

That's a shame, swapping managers that often is never good though, you need that consistency and time for players to adapt to a system and th way the gaffer wants them to play.

I see Wenger has agreed to leave Arsenal a year early so he's off at the end of this season.

He's done a decent job. I think his early success at the club meant expectations sky rocketed, but it's very hard to compete with the spending we've seen at some of the premier league clubs.

I wonder who they'll get in to replace him?

Birmingham's first game of the season is against Norwich.

Duke, let me know if you want to go and I'll get us a couple of tickets. No worries if you can't make it.

I think regardless of what happened this team has done well, Last night may be the best thing to happen to an England team in years as these young players now know that moving forward they can win. Im not talking about this tournament but moving forward, most of this squad you have to think will be at the next World Cup and its all experience for them to bank

I'm with you there. Keep the team together, make a couple of changes where needed but they could be a good squad for a few years.

I mist admit Im more than a little bored of all the footie "experts" that watch football this time every 4 years telling me all about how England need to improve, or how the defence looks this way or that and that Kane is overrated as hes only scored penalties and blah blah blah!

I love it when you can tell they are basically repeating exactly what the pundits have said too, like "I think....."

Oh do you!?
