The Football Thread

I realise it's not everyones cup of tea, but some of us like it and the new season isn't that far off.

I see Steven Bruce has left Hull. I wonder where he's off to? Could be Wolves who now have a big wad of cash to spend.

New season starts this weekend. Taking my lad to the game at Blues, which is against Cardiff. It'll be nice to spend some time with him, a barely see the bugger now he's got a new bike.

I'm so glad I didn't pay the £35 Bcfc wanted for today's game. We are mediocre at best.

It's another win for the Blues and villa fail to win away again, which they've failed to do for about 15 months :D

When they said they're only here for a season I didn't think they were looking to be relegated again

Stoke look a bit crap as well.

It should be another decent premier league season for the casual observer. Hard to tell who will do enough for the title and I reckon there are 6 good contenders for relegation.

Can't see anyone stopping Man City for the title. Wouldn't be surprised if they scored 10 goals against someone in one game this year.

I see Villa are looking for a new manager.

We play them at the end of this month, I hope to God they're not playing well when we do.

Its becoming a joke club. Who with any sort of decent reputation as a manager would take that job now knowing you have a max of 10 games to turn it around?

14 months
4 wins
5 managers

They do have a decent squad of players, so a good manager would work out for them and could get them promoted.

But who would want to work there?

Cash is king. Pay 'em enough money and they'll come. Newcastle getting and keeping Rafa proved that.
