That's not something you want to have to clear up. Not sure it would go up my hoover.

Nope. I've only got one true spider. It's tiny and it's not very happy being out in the open.

Hawkesbury, NSW.

Personnel at RAAF Richmond are reporting that a C-130 Hercules aircraft has gone missing. Apparently this happened immediately after the aircraft received a new coat of camouflage paint. Staff are currently unavailable for comment.

Nah....some urban legend BS I came across on the web. Be great if it were true, as the location definitely makes it plausible/probable.

Be a bit hard since they don’t operate from there anymore, and the only ones in service in the RAAF are J models which are grey.

In fact the H models that were based there (but were put out of service approx 5 years ago) haven’t been camo paint scheme for over 18 years. I know that for a fact because when I moved to Australia 18 years ago I worked on the H model C130’s at RAAF Base Richmond.

It’s literally ‘down the road’

I'd love to do a parachute jump from the ramp of a Hercules. That has got to be the Holy Grail of parachute jumps.

273kg does seem an odd amount - like it's 2kg short ...

That's right at 600lbs. Which kinda makes me wonder why in the US, the drug trade went metric & nobody else did??
Must be because of the tiny amounts involved...??

Because it's so much easier to work out in metric. Plus it's usually shipped in metric amounts.

Because Americans can't get their head around change even when the change makes everyone's lives easier!!!

"If I just take 5/8ths from 11/16ths" I'll be left with another random number which doesn't make sense.

Or... you can take 16mm from 17.5mm and you have yourself a number even an American can understand.

Just out of idle curiosity Cav, when did you yourself make the switch from imperial to metric...or did you grow up just with metric?
You still use miles as a base scale when it comes to speed & distance, correct??

1/16.

We still use feet for altitude, but if you're an engineer metric makes so much more sense.
