Corona, CA.
A naked man broke into a Corona home, armed himself with a hammer, and then threatened the occupants---a mother with small children.
He was arrested, and...four hours later he was released!! I suspect narcotics may have played a part in all that, but I'm the suspicious type.

The morning news.

A 52 yr old bearded man chased a home invader down the street while only in his jocks wielding a didgeridoo (lol) #onlyinstraya

I don't know what is weirder....that he chased someone while carrying a didgeridoo, or that the camera crew made him do a re-enactment so they could film it. Frickin' gypsy.

He wasn’t chasing him ‘carrying’ a didgeridoo, he was chasing ‘with’ a didgeridoo. Dunno if you’ve ever seen one, but it’s a hollowed out, thick branch of Australian hardwood. It’d be as effective as a baseball bat.

He’s done more re-enactments on other channels (lol) he’s in a pair of jeans on the other major networks.

How’s that line “it was too early for Kung-fu so I just grabbed my didgeridoo” :D

The D Day fly past out of Duxford Imperial War Museum just over an hour ago, I was sitting in slow moving traffic thinking there isn’t normally a jam on the A12 at this point, when the “convoy” over flew the road, bringing everything to a stop as the drivers watched.

Three things struck me as I watched them go over, 1, they were moving so slowly, 2, they were flying very low, 100-120m possibly, 3, the logistics of getting that many old aeroplanes in the air together today are remarkable, let alone the planning and logistics of getting 100 times more in the air in 1944.

I was genuinely moved. (bow)

Did you know...that the "iconic" photograph/painting/statues, etc. of US troops raising the flag over Iwo Jima was also a re-enactment??
The actual flag-raising incident happened earlier that day, and didn't look particularly dramatic at all
