I watched the Aaron Hernandez series on Netflix. A very promising NFL star who murdered at least 1 person. He was found not guilty of two other murders. They tried to suggest he had a messed up personality due to brain injuries from playing football but they didn't really explore that in much detail.

I've just finished series 1 of Jessica Jones, not sure what to watch next, maybe the Defenders, maybe something completely different for now.

JJ was ok, but got a bit silly at the end of series 1 tbh.

JJ gets pretty annoying at times. Series 2 is better.

Have you watched Titans yet or The Boys?

The Boys is how superheroes would be in real life. It's worth watching.

"You" is good. It's about someone who is a bit obsessive. Then he ramps it up a gear.

"The Best Of Everything". It's like watching a time-capsule.

It's not all action like how the americans portray war - Saving Private Ryan was and still is a great film but I personally would say Dunkirk and 1917 are on par with films like Battle of Britain, A Bridge too Far and even The Longest Day and to me those are fantastic films.

"It's not all action like how Americans portray war"......??????
You do realise it was a movie about the largest military operation in modern history??
Do yourself a favour and watch it again sometime soon. Aside from the opening scenes, and the closing sequence, there is a LOT of downtime in that movie. There's also a lot of conversations between people who would not normally interact with one another...their hopes, fears, etc. It's a fairly immersive film on that level, but only if you allow it to be.
Bear in mind I still say it is a good film even in today's world, yes I do agree with what you are saying there is down time but always written in, feels like they had to add it. I used to watch that film all the time. Just saying I think Brits tend to do a better job of making war films in my opinion making it flow in the right places and we tend to portray it slightly differently. Neither are wrong just different.

Well, the different approach would be that some American war films have a tendency to glamorize war more so than their British counterparts. I don't think "Ryan" was guilty of any of that......there was no charge up the beach with an orchestra in full support, or any of that nonsense.
Better yet, there was no romance-angle thrown in....I think they shot scenes along those lines & then ditched them in the editing process.
But there was more than a touch of unbridled patriotism thrown in there, I'll grant you that....and the movie does begin & end with images of the US flag, just in case you forgot who won the war, etc.

A documentary about Siberia. It's difficult to take in just how truly vast that region is.
