I did the Rest, but I have to admit the ICE went in the G&T (giggle)

I've had a compression sock on all day and I can almost walk without a limp now. Hopeful that with compression and pain killers I should be able to run Sunday. It is trail, and the ground is nice and soft.
Oh yeah, night shift brain, R is for Rest :D

Sounds like you’ve got it sorted, good luck for the race!

Off to the gym in a bit and will see what I can do, not done the leg press for a couple of months but was doing 4x20 at 80kg... Wonder if i can still manage that, the trainer i use on occasion is obsessed with the stair master and has given me a 1000 step target for every time i go in so the leg press should be okay.

Failed on the leg press but 1600 stairs (new pb)... Maybe I should have done the stairmaster last.

I used to use a machine called "Jacobs ladder" if its anything like that then first or last it wouldn't matter (shake)

Its a never ending staircase, not the most enjoyable piece of equipment but it seems to be getting results.

10 mile trail race this morning, loads of mud and 3 river crossings. Took it easy because of the foot, but worked out well as I was able to support another runner from the club who is coming back from injury.

The foot hurts a little again now, but has gone a lovely color.

Makes unofficial resolution to get up to 90kg, drop body fat, deadlift 2 x bodyweight etc...

Spies some more chocolate from Christmas...

Well today my doctor congratulated me on dropping 5kg and the lowest blood sugar levels i have ever recorded, then said she was putting me on more tablets because my cholesterol is up to 5.1... Any more tablets and i will rattle.

Back to the gym tomorrow to see what the trainer thinks, and another lunch time session.

Back and shoulders at the gym. It was busy but I could get on what I needed to. This gym clearly has its regulars but everyone seems friendly, no posers.

I really do have to get rid of this Christmas belly though. I'm a fat knacker :D

I was surprised to find I've only put on 2.5lbs over Christmas - not sure how as I ate and drank everything I could!!

I'm doing core stuff again which doesn't help with appearances when you've got a layer of winter blubber keeping you warm.

The bonus of working over Christmas and New Years is I lost 2 kg over the festive break sweating it out in the tropics (lol)

Was going to get back into the gym tonight. Just donated blood - apparently you aren't allowed to the gym within 12 hours

I've been to the gym on the same day but I didn't do any heavy weights. You have to watch your blood pressure.

I just feel lethargy after I've donated. But I'm overdue to give again....must put it on the list.

Think I've been saying that for over a year now..

D4, I'm itching to get back in the gym. It's been 5 weeks at least now :(

I feel worse after a blood test than I do from giving blood. I love the array of sugary snacks they have on offer though - if I wasn't on a healthy eating plan I'd have been tucking right in!

Well, if I'm honest I did go to a gym yesterday 'cos a mate was joining up, but I only got as far as laying down on some back-massaging bed-thing

Went to the gym and focused on upper body and a bit of hit training on the spin bike to finish... I will feel it tomorrow.

Got the resistance bands out tonight and realised what a crap state my upper body is in now. Even my core strength has vanished.

Time to start the long journey of rebuilding my upper body.
