Looks similar to the 5x5 stronglift programme

I believe they are similar. In fact, it might have been you that mentioned stronglift before.

Probably. I use it as a reset programme when I'm bored at the gym. It's a good mix of compound exercises. The app is useful.

I've gone back to my PT. It's the only way I can force myself to train on a regular basis.

15 mins on the rowing machine today, managed 3km and hardly broke 130bpm. My average running heart rate is 155bpm.

Went this morning.

Squats were okay, up to 85kg now.

Shoulder press was supposed to go from 50kg to 52.5kg, but some twat has taken one of the two 1.25kg plates from the gym since last week. Two plates for the whole of the f*****g gym, I ask you!
Anyways, tried 55kg and managed one set of 5 reps, but only managed 3 reps on both other sets. Will have to rethink things.

Finally, the deadlift.

I'd made steady progress with every session, but I may have increased the weight by too much. I noticed last week that although I pulled 120kg, my form was absolutely awful.
So instead of doing what I normally do and ignore things and hope it gets better, I dropped it down to 100kg today and focused an all the little things. Although it's still heavy (for me) everything felt a lot better. Not easier, but much much better.

Legs and arms. The gym bored me tonight. I really didn't want to be there.

Ran Basingstoke half marathon today, not my best time due to illness and being a fat lazy slob. But hey, finished.

I have been having this problem a lot, just can't be bothered to go, and when I do i seem go get tired way too easily.

Back at it tomorrow though, I want rid of this gut and I won't achieve that sat on my ass.

Did my first 10k in under 50 minutes a few weeks ago. Was a goal I was really aiming for and well pleased I achieved it. I entered a 10k trail run as a result but will probably regret it :D

I saw that on Facebook, awesome stuff mate.

Biggest thing with trail is to forget times and just enjoy the runs. You will never run as fast on trail as you can on the road, but you will become a much stronger runner from the trails. You should find that after a bit of trail running your road times will come down as you should find it easier.

Starting Strength...

The numbers are still going up, slow and steady like;
Squat 95kg
Bench Press 82.5kg
Shoulder Press 52.5kg
Deadlift 107.5kg
(all for 5 reps)

But on Monday last week, as I was squatting my back felt, for the lack of any other words, squishy.
Couldn't seem to get rigid, it just didn't feel right. Stupidly I carried on, but luckily nothing came of it. After the bench press, which went fine, I thought better of trying the deadlift.

Decided to have a deload week, which consists of still going to the gym but doing much lighter weights.

Or in my case, sleeping in and eating crap food! (bandit)

And you thought you could run.

Fecking nora, this bloke ran a full marathon faster than I ran a half last weekend.
