Can't agree with this enough. Was exactly my undoing training for the run.

You watch mate, in a few months you'll be at the stage where if you have to miss a workout for some reason you'll get grumpy about it!

tried to get back into circuits, failed. Body temps shot up, felt sick, felt faint, headaches came screaming on.

Oh well.

Been out for a decent run tonight, decided to up the distance a bit and see what happens. The new route turned out to be 11.3km and I came home in a respectable 1 hour and 5 mins, thats pretty much on pace for a 2 hour half marathon. There where also a few pretty good hills on the route too so I'm really quite happy with progress.

Bi's and Tri's this morning, then promptly went home and threw my back out (facepalm)

Probably as a result of finishing drywall above my head for 3 days...

Bugger! I reckon that's the worst thing about getting older, we still play/work like we are 20 but then suffer for it like we are 60 ! Rest and mend soon dude.

It's hard for my trainer to appreciate that you get an ache or a pain for no apparent reason.

Been a bit better this week. Went to the gym on tuesday and did an hour+ cardio session. Went out for a run after work tonight, first time off road which was a bit different. Ran alongside the river upto dinton pastures, did 2 laps of the lake and ran back, think its just short of 10k and was back in about an hour so quite happy with that, especially as I had to stop a couple of times to ask directions (blush)
