Twice this week I've ran home from work.

I set a new PB tonight, beating my previous time by 0.1 seconds.

Did I mention it's 0.6 miles from door to door? (whew)

I ran through the woods again last night for the first time in about a week - so much better than pavement running!

Left myself a stupidly big hill for the end though - took 5 minutes to get up it

Nice one, bad route planning though leaving the hill to the end (giggle) ;)

We try and get the big hills done in the first 2 thirds of the route. That way you have the energy to run them, you then have the last third of the run to cool down and recover

Leg session at the gym.

My daughter wanted to do various exercises, all of them shit but popular on Instagram, so I left her to it.

Back and shoulders. My daughter stuck with me and was happy to follow my advice. We had a good session and it was nice to spend some time with her just chatting about crap.

6 miles of randomness in the fields and woods around the village this afternoon.

Mainly following footpath signs, but not always.

Finally sticking to an exercise routine.

Pity it’s flat on my back and only involves moving my head side to side (lol)

I did 3km last night to mark the end of week 3 of Couch to 5K - I'm not sure what the 4th week holds but I'm sure I won't like it

To try and shift this spare tyre my PT has suggested a fasting routine.

Start off 3 days a week where you don't eat a thing for 16 hours a day.

I've done today and yesterday. Finished eating at 8pm and nothing until midday the next day. Once you do start eating you have to get in the daily amount of calories.

I'm going to try and do it 5 days a week so I've got weekends free from it.

The mornings are hard. I do miss my breakfasts.

Fair play, that's something I could never do. I get really grumpy if I don't eat.

Did a 7 mile run last night and a 10 mile run this morning. Today's run was insane 1600 foot of elevation in basically 4 main hills, my legs are fooked. Couple of rest days now.

When the weather starts to improve I'll dig out my pushbike and get that ready for use as I don't do enough cardio.

It's a shame to live where I do and not take in the countryside, so hopefully some bike rides will cure that.

I'll probably end up getting out & doing a bit of cycling at some point this weekend.
I weighed myself last night & I'm about ten pounds overweight.
I cried all the way to McDonald's.

The latest routine is 3mins run, 90 walk, 5 minutes run. Those 3 completed twice with a 2.5 minute walk in between. Had a short but stupidly steep hill halfway through the first 5 minute run that killed me but the 2 minute walk recovered me. I covered 4km in about 28 minutes

6 mile recovery run tonight, with the exception of running every hill in sight.
