It went that way, it went this way. Transponders were off, it sent signals after all.. releasing satellite images by mistake, telling the families feck all.

It IS an interesting situation, isn't it? I think the reasonable conclusion is that it's terrorism, especially with the stolen passports in play. The question are; why aren't terrorist organizations taking credit for it? Why a plane containing individuals from countries largely not involved in the GWOT, as well as targeting an airliner from a largely Muslim nation? If terrorism wasn't involved, how does a plane possibly wind up hundreds of miles off course in good weather? Very, very strange indeed...

Don't really know much about this in all honesty as away on holiday but this is terrible, poor people innocents on their holidays and is the general idea that it was hijacked or somehow steered of course...wasn't in the Bermuda triangle by any chance, electrical issues messing with their satellites?

I see they are saying this morning that the tracking systems were deliberately turned off and they have searched the pilot's house.

I think pilot or co pilot may have had mental health issues and committed suicide taking the plane with him to make himself famous.

Why can't they just hang themselves or jump off a bridge like regular mentally imbalanced folk ?

Sorry kwacky didn't really mean that actual area lol!! It's the only place where I have heard from documentaries (allegedly) it has been known to get electrical surges! Really don't know how true that is!

Is the fuel of many an Internet forum is theories, speculation and general (un)educated guesswork. Not a criticism I think it's the way we're wired, human nature at play.

It's now alleged that the pilot's last verbal transmission was after the communications had been turned off. The pilot's family moved out of the family home the day before the flight. Teh pilot was also a supporter of the leader of the opposition, who had just been jailed. These could be coincidences.

There's also a passenger on the plane who was a flight engineer

Such a true statement, which would lead you with three options..

• Aliens took it
• It blew up into a gazillion pieces and will never be found again (but where did the black box go as they are virtually indestructible as far as I know)
• It's not lost, it was flown in a way that radar couldn't detect it and landed somewhere else, the people that do know where it is aren't saying. It's not just aliens that can take planes (goes off to get the tin foil)

It's either landed after the beacons were turned off or crashed after the beacons were turned off. I think the black boxes emit a beacon when the plane crashes but I'm not sure how it works.

I think it does emit a signal, but not one that can be picked up from a great distance. More like a locator beacon for when you're searching the crash site, not something that'll show up on satellites or anything. Of course, I could be totally wrong, but that's my understanding.

Clearly there's something governments not telling us. If they don't want us to know we will never know. Could really be over in some other country, could be negotiations for ransom and the governments are covering it up? All I know is if we are in no special job where we are not privy to know then we won't!
