Seems to be a lot of senseless vandalism about, some "Kid in a grey hoodie" just set the hedge over the road on fire, no pics till morning because I was too busy helping the old fella who lives right next to it with his garden hose until the fire service arrived. Ours wouldn't reach.

Jesus. Ok seriously what the feck. My work colleagues shed got flamed the other year by a group of youths remember him saying it spread along to the rest of the houses because of the fences and one of his neighbours had petrol in his shed so you could imagine the effects of that fire. Don't hold your breath for the old bill to catch them though, the old bill said to my work buddy that they won't catch those guys!!

Hope it hasn't destroyed anything of value

Car's were moved quickly so it's just the hedge, but still... And the Police haven't been as yet, probably won't.

F*cking thieving c*nts.

I live in a reasonably isolated little settlement upnthe side of a mountain range. There’s a single line each way main road that goes past it but next to no traffic in the residential area that isn’t locals. Home ownership is about 90%. I’ve been here 7.5 years and in that time not one theft have I heard about.

Now, in the last 5 days, the area has had 1 car stolen, 4 cars broken into, the restaurant (award winning new business in 1870’s house - first house built here) broken into, and someone yesterday caught a hoodie wearing youth in his art studio but failed to apprehend.

You have to go out of your way to get here and the neighbourhood watch though informal is strong.

I’ve never once been worried about leaving my house vacant while offshore but heading away next week and bloody nervous now!!!

The copper next door has always kept a low profile but Last 2 nights has had one of the marked up Operations 4WD’s in his front drive. Hopefully that’ll scare the buggers off.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

It's not them, they were forced out a little while ago by the squaddies that still live here, used to be army land - now it's being built on so alot of squaddies have been relocated but we still have a few here who don't take crap!

There is a theory

My misses parked her car in a space that usually has someone else parked there and the one night she parked there she noticed a scratch down the side of it after. Personally I don't think they would ever do that as they themselves are MASSIVE car people but it just seems strange as I know for a fact the scratch wasn't there that night as I saw the car too. It's not a T Cut job it's a respray which costs money. Pissed off as it's a new car '17 plate and someone wants to do that. Some people are just low lives in my opinion

Sorry to hear that Rossgo.

Fwiw there are products specifically for recovering scratches (even T-cut market one) , that can be very effective. Also companies like "Chips Away" who specialise in low(er) cost repairs that are as good as new.

Cheers StMarks - I think this car has got a plague

Since owning from new it's had

A big dent in the drivers side door, pulled open the door from outside and it swang open by the wind smashing into a Ballard

A chip from where a selfish driver opened up their door into the passenger side of my GF

and now

A scratch down the side

You wouldnt believe it was new!!
