I've also heard carrots increase your risk of cancer so I've just stopped listening!

Well...there's more to it than just "charred meat causes canccer, etc."
It's not that far removed from the whole "red wine is good for you"-theory.
People who are eating burgers & fries five times a week aren't usually washing it down with a glass of burgundy, just as no-one's washing down top sirloin with a Diet-Pepsi (at least I hope not, fcuking Philistines!).
And a lot of stuff is just pure genetics at work....if half the people in your family end up developing cancer, then guess what - your chances of doing the same are right up there with the rest of them.

Everyone has to make their own mind up.

I do know that as I get older, looking after yourself becomes more and more important.

Thought that was a fairly well known fact.

I only BBQ on a flat plate, hate the grill. When I learnt this fact years ago it made me feel even better about my choices (lol)

Dying doesn't frighten me but being alive and not being able to enjoy life does.

Watching my mom suffer so badly during her final months made me realise to try and enjoy things while I am able too

Seen too much of that myself in recent years. I don't dwell on it as a rule, but we are going through such strange times that it's hard to completely ignore our own mortality at the moment.

Wickes.

How can other stores have your order ready in 1 minutes while Wickes takes over 3 hours and counting to get a handful of items?!

Other stores, like supermarkets, have trained teams with handheld devices to help them locate stock. It's a pretty well organised routine.

Guessing Wickes just aren't setup for click and collect

I used wickes click and collect as well as delivery. I spent more time exchanging and dealing with phone calls than I did buying the stuff. Their logistics are poor..
