IMO at the moment is a valid vent

Venting, ranting, etc....they're all in roughly the same ballpark.

It’s still raining and COVID outbreaks in Sydney again.

OK, I am going to sound like an old git.... but last night was bloody nuts with fireworks, i dont know if it is around here or in general but the erratic setting off, loudness.... I mean enough to make the windows shake at times was just taking the piss. They need to do something about the loudness, its getting out of hand imo...... right moan over.... i am now free to move on in a happy mood lol.... once my headache buggers off.

I feel sorry for all the animals, at least we know whats going on, pets and wildlife cant be enjoying this.

They started near me at about 8pm and went on to after 2.

I don't mind them going off at midnight but there's no need for six hours of it.

I do remember when I used to live in Farnborough though. Bonfire night and new year both used to be like walking through a fog of bonfire and gunpowder smoke.

My cousin and aunty.

I'll start with my aunt. She is an enabler. She's soft as sh!t and always making excuses. She'll say she's annoyed with being taken for a mug so "kicks out" her son, I give him our spare bed and even put it up for him, then she doesn't like the sound of the place he's staying at so insists he doesn't move in. Yes. Our spare bed is still in this place.

Now for my cousin. He has a child, he's breaking all the rules set by social, the child's mother is breaking a bunch of rules which could get him in the sh!t yet he won't report anything to social. He is riding a moped around which has no tax, he has no CBT, the moped has no L plates and he obviously has no insurance. This is why I've reported the abandoned vehicle. He even told me all of this and that he wouldn't use it again, yet it's now parked on my street (10 minute walk from his mum's house) and I know he has been using it. I've told him all the consequences of being caught such as not being able to see his son seeing as my cousin is being assessed for his ability to be a parent, yet he doesn't care.
This is the same cousin with whom I spent hours helping him create a CV which got him a job. He left the job after a couple of weeks.
This is the same cousin who is still taking drugs which social check for (they don't check for weed for some reason).
This is the same cousin who was pretending to be with the mother of his child while seeing another girl.
This is the same cousin who, while seeing this other girl, slept with the mother of his child again and got her pregnant. Again.
I'm staying out of it now. Yes I reported the abandoned vehicle but to be honest, it's in his best interest. Hopefully he doesn't get bollocked for it but at the same time, he deserves it if he does.

I don't expect anyone to read this, I just need to get it off my chest.

There's a lot of entitled people out there who think life owes them and they don't have to put any effort in.

They can't see why rules should apply to them then get pissed off when they can't have their own way.

I should imagine that it'll be something to do with the fact that the THC in weed can stay in the system for up to a month....this applies particularly to chronic users. The end result of all that is a lot of false positives when it comes to testing, and occasionally multiple tests just to monitor THC levels in the system...to see that they're dropping.

I know many people who have smoked a lot the night before an impromptu drugs test at their work place and have had negative results.

He has to have two drugs tests anyway to ensure the levels are lower in the 2nd test. I think they assume everyone takes weed to be honest.

Okay, I'm officially old with a youth of today style vent...

But seriously, why are they such little morons, violence is fun? A gang of the failed abortions beat up a 78 year old man in the bus station last night, all young teens..

Life is tough enough as it is without adding snow into the mix.

I would be quite happy to never see another snowflake fall from the sky ever.

I understand everyone has their own stuff to deal with but I'm taking a lot of pleasure from the little bits of snow we're having.

I’ve literally only seen snow about a dozen times in my whole life.

And I feel like a bad person for saying this after a serious drought and fires, but can the rain just piss the f**k off (gah)

We drove 2 hours south and back today. The whole way was dry except for the first 30 km from and last 30 km to home.

I love the snow. The area I live in is beautiful with a covering. It's a big attraction for lots of families when there's snow. It's good to see the kids and families out, snowballing, sledging and building snowmen.

We had a big fall the other night. Despite my kids being 17 and 14, they both went out to play in the snow. I think they got back just before 11pm. Seeing videos of them playing together like little kids, snowball fighting, rolling down the hills, making snow angels, made me very happy. It's nice to know that they really do get on and can let their hair down with each other.

I like snow too....it's the mess it leaves when it goes away that I don't care for.
