Didn't have one trick-or-treater here...not one!
Just as well really, as I didn't buy any candy, turned the lights out, and pretended that no-one was home. Hah!! (angel) (devil) (angel)

Seriously though....there wasn't anyone out & about. Didn't see any kids at all. My house backs onto a school....and there's two others in the immediate neighborhood....but there's very few kids around here.

They have to prove you're making a nuisance. Have you had a notification of a complaint?

Evans Cycles - the cycle sage continues.

As you all know, I was trying to get a bike since March. Eventually the order was placed in August for delivery in early October. It's now early November and still no bike. I chased them yet again after previous responses varying from "your order doesn't exist" to "we're just working through a large delivery and it'll be with you soon".

Their response this time? "Sorry for any inconvenience, the bike will be in stock at the end of January 2021"!

I've told them I expect a resolution in 2 weeks with an equivalent or better bike and I expect no less. The money is already leaving my account from CycleScheme so I'm tied in with Evans now.

Can you not contact the cyclescheme and explain the situation to them and see if the can refund/cancel/pause the scheme until you actually get a bike ???

I had heard a lot of horror stories about bicycles not being delivered by a few online stores, including Halfords and Evans. That's why I went to a shop to buy one they had in stock.

A lot of those stories, Kwacky are due to theft from external couriers which is why I had Evans deliver it to their store which uses Evans owned couriers. I would then collect it. The problem isn't that the bike was stolen, it's that they sold it to someone else after having already sold it to me.

I will wait to see what Evans say back to me before then going to CycleScheme.

Demand worldwide for bicycles has skyrocketed. Most places are selling out of stock as soon as it arrives. The dealer I used showed me the order logs at 3 different sources. He reckons there's generally a 6 month wait if you want to order something that's not in stock. No idea if that's true for Evans but I'm guessing they rely on the same lines of supply as everyone else.

It's the fact that either they took my money and never placed the order.. or my bike arrived and they gave it to someone else.
