A good mate of mine that used to do kitchens professionally told me a good kitchen fitter can make a cheap kitchen look great and a bad one can ruin a top end set up.

Just trying to help btw! ;)

Well, yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to wash the car, finish the machine polishing and stick some Fusso on it.
Took a few hours, think I caught the sun a bit, and I stunk because I'd rushed out to do it without showering first!

Still, it turned out looking not too bad. So a good idea well executed.

I then had the genius idea of removing a screw from the tyre that we'd run over at some point. It was in the thickest part of the tyre, and it didn't look like a huge screw, so I thought it would be okay.

And as the air started pissing out I realised that it was very much not okay!

In fact, the only thing that deflated faster than the tyre were my hopes of getting the spare wheel on...

After doing some digging, it turns out that the Astra J (the model I have) has two different wheel stud configurations, dependent on which engine is in the car.
The spare wheel currently sat in my boot is NOT the one that fits my car. (gah)

It turns out, although this shit storm has happened just when we needed the car, the sister-in-law picked us up when needed today, a Facebook page has sourced a free replacement spare in Walsall, and the boy has a day off school tomorrow which means they don't need to take the car, so it's not actually too bad.
All I have to do now is take the tyre to a garage to get it plugged.

Oh, and obviously seeing as I washed the car it had to f***ing rain, didn't it? Still, beading looks good...

When a client says he has a free ticket to the Catalunya Motogp in two weeks complete with paddock passes, courtesy of Triumph.

And he know nothing about bike racing. (envy)

Going to get drenched here too.

....In sweat. (rolf)

Seriously...it's going to be 85F here today, and this place has no A/C. It's gonna suck, big time, in a few hours.
Have to think of something to do....there's nowt on at the movies that appeals, and I'm not the "beach type".

Not good to hear and I didn't think crime was bad on the IOM but I guess scumbags get everywhere these days.

Are you glamping on an organised site? Is there a security box or locker available at the office?

The fellas didn't come back. But they were pissed and were clearly chavs. We seem to recogn they just wanted to take a look inside the tents to see what they were like - maybe they thought 'TT is over everyone now has gone home' but regardless scary situation and pissed off by it. It's actually on a football pitch- many of the footy sites have got Glamping on it so it's nothing new to these guys. Their are cameras around enterance so should cstch scumbags. We haven't heard of anyone having anything stolen. We have 1 more night here just wish us luck that we will be ok.

You'll be fine. They sound like TT stragglers. Some people hang around to see what they can "salvage" after the TT.

I highly doubt it's locals. The police over there are old school and don't take kindly to that type of behaviour. Talking of which, make sure you stick to the speed limits -the police and courts are very very tough on speeders.
