You'll have to put up with that for a few years yet - they do the same for them at school.

Based on all of the above I've decided I don't want kids. A race bike will give me fewer issues

cheers mate, I just feel so stressed atm, It genuinely seems like were all ill every couple of months, and I don't mean a cold, we have had 3 bouts of sickness and squits (luckily I seem to have dodged it so far this time around!) But I don't want to feel like I'm taking the mickey at work and keep going off, but with the Mrs working in London its harder for her to come back for stuff like this. Just glad my mum was off today so able to get him for me.

Cav.....I couldn't tell you how right you are, but then at the same time you don't get that insane happiness when they are laughing their head off and run over and give you a cuddle. It really is extreme highs and lows!

Motorway driving. More specifically:
- people who cannot maintain a constant speed.
- people who don't look far enough ahead to read the traffic properly.

I religiously stuck to 70mph (unless approaching a lorry in Lane 2 and entering Lane 3 with a car fast approaching) and overtook/got overtaken by the same 2 cars at least 5 times each - I'm only on the motorway for 2 junctions for crying out loud. The one car got very sh!tty with me and proceeded to drive with full beam on right up my backside - he overtook me doing maybe 72mph then pulled in front of me and slowed down to around 60mph and I had to pull out.

D!ckheads. D!ckheads everywhere.

On my way to work? Besides the fact I have no intention of smoking a joint I don't think my employer (or the Police) would be happy about that...

With a probable decreasing expenditure for maintaining infrastructure, and an exponential increase in the main pressure factor :

No I meant transport in London is broken full stop. My car used to average 10mph and that included motorways. The only other option is to squease yourself on to public transport that wouldn't be legally allowed to transport cattle.

You can't even park anywhere when you do finally get somewhere!

I love London, but getting around is just stress, stress, stress!

That's why I cycle, even in the middle of winter when it's pissing down with rain and freezing child it's still the fastest and most comfortable way of getting round London.

Makes sense Nutz.

If I have to go down for work now, I overland train and walk if it's not too far.

Check out the Boris bikes mate, it's about 2 quid for the day. You get an app on the phone and you can get a bike in seconds, it will also do a route plan to the nearest dock for you.

I've used them a fair bit over the last year when I haven't taken my bike up.

Ha ha, yes the M25 and London traffic, a great topic... I love London too, but going into work now is beyond a joke, i need to carry so much stuff, bike and train is just not an option. So I try to stay away now.

M25, yes massive volume of traffic, but it does not help itself. I have said this from the start that the "smart motorway" is a stupid idea. make all the lanes usable by removing the hard shoulder!

It was very clear on Thursday, I was on route back from Kent, normal mass of muppets, signs up saying hold ups, I have no option to stay where I am unless I want to take a massive diversion.

Broken down luton van, takes up one lane, the wombles have coned off almost two lanes, the gantry signs show big red cross (blocked lane) so all the traffic is messing about changing lanes etc... (again why cant people just merge in turn, it makes it all flow!!!) anyway after sitting in this crap for eternity, we get going for a bit, then it all slows again.

Now this time we have a hard shoulder, now the traffic slows, but not stops, but same situation, this time lorry getting wheel changed, on the hard shoulder, traffic flows by no bother , no hassle. Same situation, two very different outcomes within 10 miles of each other.

Seriously do they not see this!!!? BRING BACK THE HARD SHOULDER it makes sense.... I might start a campaign :D
