My son has the new call of duty. He seems to like it. Looks very close to the last one IMO but I'm told I'm wrong.

It's looking like infinite warfare is going to be the first cod I won't get in quite a few years. Did he get the version that includes modern warfare remastered? Who plays which game most is going to shape the direction next year's game takes.

The missus went to London.

She left me with the kids. (For the weekend, not marital difficulty or anything!)

The kids wanted to play their DS's.

I wanted to play Battlefield.

After starting at around 0930-1000ish, we stopped for lunch and dinner, then I had a break until the kids went to bed at 2000. Then I got back on it until 0130 this morning!

You know you've played too much when you dream about nothing but the game you've played. You know you've gone WAY overboard when it happens as soon as you shut your eyes!

I haven't played it at all today. I think I'm shell-shocked!

Been hammering Battlefield 1 since I got it, I've racked up 55 hours on it now.

But the mother-in-law got me Dishonored 2 and the remastered special edition of Skyrim, which means just like Kwacky, I won't even want to go outside if a coach full of Swedish cheerleaders break down outside my house.

Incidentally, it was 5 years ago today I got the original Skyrim on the PS3. When I made the transition to PS4 I always pondered whether I should get it again, but never bothered. Now it's been remastered I feel more justified in playing it again.

I know them feels bro. Due to last minute Christmas shopping we had to get my lad the PS4 version of Skylanders Imaginators.

Apparently I'm not allowed to fight him for control of the PS4.

I've been replaying BF4 over Christmas. Such a great game even though it's 3 years old! I really hope this VR takes off and it's not like 3D TVs which gradually sloped and noone really uses it because I really want a BF or CoD VR game in the coming years!

my son has got the latest GTA, so him and his mates have been going around trying to earn money.

There's a sniper in their locale who keeps on taking them all out. It's funny seeing how upset they get by it all.

This was the first crhistmas I never got a game for the ps4/ps3.

Was a bit disappointed. Especially as I wanted BF1.

But to be honest, I've still hardly touched the new maps on starwars battlefront, and not even touched the ps4 since about October. Its also in the conservatory which is freezing and I don't fancy gaming in there.

Still the missus goes to her mom's this weekend with the little bastard. So I might get some time. Apart from I got to decorate his room... with lots of star wars stuff. 8)

Hopefully there's a campaign mode. Thought the first game was a bit shite just playing online.

Apparently so...

https://www.gamespot.com/articles/star- ... 0-6449377/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Is it canon?

Yes! The single-player story is approved and considered part of the official Star Wars canon by Lucasfilm.

When does it take place?

The single-player campaign picks up after the end of Return of the Jedi and covers the 30-year span between that movie and The Force Awakens. The multiplayer includes characters and locations from "all eras" of the Star Wars timeline.

What's the story about?

The single-player campaign stars Iden Versio, an Imperial commander who's seeking to avenge the Emperor following the destruction of the Death Star. Most of the story will be from the Empire's perspective, but there will also be missions where you play as established characters, including Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren. It also introduces a new planet, Iden's homeworld of Vardos.

How does multiplayer work?

Multiplayer matches can include up to 40 players. The game features a class system for troopers, which can be upgraded as you play and customized for your play style. Trooper skins will change to match the era and location of battle for more authenticity.

The game will also bring back heroes, which can also be upgraded as you play and unlock abilities. The heroes confirmed so far include Darth Maul, Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Rey, and Kylo Ren. Mutliplayer will include characters from all of Star Wars canon, and it seems that unlike the troopers, their availability in battle won't be tied to that battle's place in the timeline.

What about vehicles?

Vehicles work the same way troopers and heroes do; they're upgradeable and customizable. There are more run-of-the-mill vehicles, like TIE fighters, as well as "hero ships," like the Millennium Falcon. There are also rideable tauntauns.

We've got some time to wait though, it's not out until November.
