Looking at places to go for a few days after Christmas.

Munich is looking favourite with me. The kids aren't impressed.

We’ve been looking at Munich for a Christmas Market visit coincidentally. :D

Being given evils by people walking past the house. The cat was day on the roof of my car, so I did the only thing you can do in that situation... Chucked water at it.

getting annoyed with serial time wasters, same client just pulled out of their 4th house move, 4 times we have done the mortgage for her in the company, this was the 1st time I had done it, she just pulled out again meaning all that work was literally for nothing. decided as a company to call it a day with her now, 4 times, not once has she even had the decency to call us to let us know either.

I don't even want to think about how many hours worth of work I put into that case all for nothing now, was a big case too commission wise :(

I spent 5 weeks there back in the 90’s, I loved it, but given the temp in Munich in December I'll settle for a Glühwein with a hot rum bumper. (party)

Trying to find flights and hotels is a headache at the moment, we’d given up on a Christkindlemarkt visit when looking at Nürnberg, but re another thread I had some time on my hands on Friday to look further. Fingers crossed!

Having a good think at the moment, I had an assessment and 4 "Speed Interview's" yesterday and got the call this morning.
I excelled at the practical assessments (their words) but didn't do so well at the interviews. I take a little while to open up and relax so 5 minuets then on to the next person was tough...

No new job for me but it could be worse, I'm still in a decent paying job for the area but the chance of progression is virtually zero.

It's a shame that so much reliance is placed on a verbal interview when it's clear that not everyone has the skillset to deal with a grilling. Note very job requires you to be face to face with people, so it can often be a useless way to assess.

5 minutes for an interview? Hardly time to understand a person - it may weed out the knobbers but also weeds out people like yourself who once opened up and relaxed could be the person for the job.

I used to enjoy interviewing for positions of finding good people. Saying that i employed a few knobbers too |(

Sold the old camper trailer finally!

The parents of one of Byrons school mates bought it. We know them pretty well so have scored another family to camp with in the process!!

Now my bikes have a bit of breathing room in the garage.

Had to nip into a London Hospital for a five year check up on some essential repairs I had back then, got the all clear from the folks there, but had the joy of the Tube on the trips in and out. Now back at home as I’ve got the week off, currently enjoying paperwork for the sale of my Mums House, tbh I’d rather be at work...

Walked out my front door and nearly sh*t myself as there was a 1.5m Red Belly Black snake sunning itself on my path. Bugger shot of before I could get a decent pic and hid under the house.
First time I’ve seen a snake on my property in the 8 yrs I’ve lived here, but seen a few not far away in bush close by.

Don’t think I’ll mention it to the kids.
