Today I've been scoring some Ray-Bans, Oakleys, etc. for about 25% of retail.

That's "of retail" not "off".....so quite happy about that. All that remains is for me is to find a good home/price for them.

Sorting out flights back home... was due out offshore from quarantine on Thursday but Jess’ dad who has been very ill and in hospital yet again for the last two months, was not expected to survive the night last night. Jess drove up at 1 am to the hospital a couple hours up the coast last night and is still there. The Renal team have just reviewed him and said with almost certainly he’ll pass tonight. He is unable to do dialysis now due to his condition and his heart is also giving out.

Not going to land till 6pm tomorrow but glad I hadn’t already gone offshore as I would’ve had to do 2 weeks govt quarantine before I could get back for her.

Take it easy, kiwi and look after your lady.

Seems a lot of us are reaching that next phase in life.

Best wishes to you and Jess Kiwi.

Going to Manchester later today to pick up a surprise eBay win, a set of Continental winter tyres apparently with 7mm of tread... I say surprise because with only a £80 bid I didn't expect to win that auction.
Well I guess peoples minds are on BBQ's rather than blizzards because I got them for £41, add them to the £50 set of wheels I got a couple of months back and I have a winter set with great tyres for under £100, they will go straight on as the lacquer is flaking off the cars wheels really quickly now so it's time to get that sorted... Diamond cut wheels look nice but are very prone for this, so much so that my local wheel specialist has stopped offering that finish.

Here if you need anything, mate.

Well, I say anything, I can't really offer anything other than an ear to vent to, but still...

Learning how involved funerals are. Holy f**k there’s a lot to sort out.

I was always of the mind that the people left behind could do what they liked. But today I’ve seen how much effort is taken up in decision making between multiple family members when wishes had not been expressed in certain areas.

It was exhausting

Cheers mate, I appreciate the sentiment and everyone’s well wishes. It’s hard when you are on the other side of the world but we have all made pretty good friendships and part of that is wanted to be there for your mates. I’ve felt similar hopelessness when you guys are going through major things.

So thanks, means a lot, all of you.

Funerals are for the living. When you're gone, you're gone. When I go they can do what they want and I'm not going to tell them how to spend or share the £3.99.
