He snots everywhere. He is genuinely disgusting and everyone dislike him, partly for hygiene and partly cos he is a big knob.

Productive day.

Did some gloss painting, took bike for an MOT, cleaned the gutters, killed some moss, washed the car and tidy house.

Now off to get kids and meet the missus for ice skating, a meal out and the Christmas markets.

Trying to rearrange a meeting that's in Felixstowe. They want it first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon.

That's fine if you haven't got a 4 hour drive home afterwards.

Finding appropriate research papers... I get the occasional laugh from seemingly ridiculous paper titles such as: "Mechanical characterization of nano-reinforced silica based sol–gel hybrid coatings on AISI 316L stainless steel using nanoindentation techniques"

Essentially, characteristics of a fine silica-based gel coating of stainless steel. This isn't the worst by far, some have taken minutes to work out what the bloody hell they're saying

Just reading that has given me a fine silica-based gel coating on my brain.

Just read that article, sounds interesting, but I’d be wanting to see 10-20 yr studies on the affect of Silica coated inplants before I’d let that in my body.

I'm like that with a lot of this stuff. Last time I researched it they still hadn't found a synthetic cartilage which can last (I think) 20 years without issue. The biggest 'problem' is RoHS, lead is one of the most useful materials in the world and we aren't allowed to use it in 99% of applications. For some reason, race car engines are allowed to use lead-based linings in their bearings - the reason isn't something I've looked into.

Obviously I'm not suggesting they shove a load of lead in us.. i'm not a COMPLETE idiot haha

Having a nice relaxing day off work..... Oh yeah... NOT!

Started this morning dropping the youngest at school, then down to the caravan yard to let the mechanic in. Streight from there to buy the boys Christmas present, then pick up some replacement trail connect lenses, then back to the caravan yard to check on progress. Still going. Asked if he could drop the keys off at home and then rushed back home to pick up mother and off to the boys Christmas site, in a fecking freezing cold barn. Enjoyed the show. Back home and back to the caravan yard to put the van bank in it's spot and then put the winter cover on .. in the fecking dark, by myself.

Then drove home by the shop to pickup a bottle or two of wine, which I'm now supping!

This evening I sent off my CV to a train company, they have a couple of openings for drivers but when I read further in to it they want trainee's.
I suppose that's the first filter, making it less obvious that it's a trainee position weeds out the ones who are not paying attention, or it could be a typo :?

Regretting finishing the bottle of wine after not telling drinking any water and not eating anything all day.

Trying to talk to two Industry bodies that deal with personal certification, they do virtually the same job for the same people but will not cooperate in any way.
Frustrated would be how I’d describe myself today.
