Been out on the bike, looked at some new ones, went to look at a new gym, popped in to see Perkles (he wasn't there) some relax time then polish the bike and get my kit ready for tomorrow's trackday.

Fitting a new shower screen and cleaning the house. The place is a bit of a tip really as we have a couple bits to go to the dump and the place hasn't been hovered since last weekend due to the painting and being a bit too busy!! Today I will sort it!!

Building and unpacking if I can ever get my tied aching bones out of bed this morning :(

Finally got the keys to the new house yesterday (y)

The day was pure hell, very stressful and complete agony but that's behind us now so forgotten, mentally anyway (the muscles may take a day or two)

Lads who moved us in were brilliant. Hard working and a good laugh. We all ended up having a few beers late on and one of the lads lives local so I gave him my number for a few beers.

Like you say, it's done and it is out of the way. Fresh new house for you and your family to settle into, make new and happy memories and to enjoy.

Moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do in your life.

Glad the moving day went OK, Blade

Time to get the mancave sorted now. :)

trial prep. Got a big trial kicking off on Tuesday which is listed for 5 weeks. We're not playing a major part as our client has pleaded but there's still shed loads of work to do. It also means I've got to spend a few days in Norwich next week.

I feel your pain Frankie, I'm one of many who've entered the altered time reality of a Driver Awareness Course", on the plus side, being stuck in a traffic jam it seems as if time just flies by after one of those!

Today, I was mostly getting shot blasted by colossal hailstorms that were roaming the East Anglian countryside with an attitude problem.

Hopefully you can see this, which also happened today... I get 4hrs and a have to pay for it, for going 10 mph of the limit on an empty motorway - done at 70 while the limit had gone down to 60!!!
How do all the cameras and smart motorway bull crap deal with this knob end?

That's so silly. 10MPH over isn't the end of the world. This is what we are turning into the police could be out spending time on real cases but instead go for the easy option and screw people over for a little over the speed limit on a big road like the motorway. Let's face it people do well over 100MPH on the motorway and nothing happens so why should they worry.

Traffic offences are one of the few instances where the police can actually witness a crime as it's being committed....at that point you can't really blame them for doing what they're there for....
AND...there is a discretionary margin of around 10%...after that well, you've only yourself to blame.

10mph over the limit most definitely IS the "end of the world" for all too many RTA victims, many of them innocent of any wrongdoing whatsoever.

And that is very real.

D totally agree in 30s and 40s the posted limit is right and should be obeyed BUT on a clear stretch of motorway I don't think it's too much of a crime driving at 90MPH + what's the harm' yes we could spin out and crash BUT we could be hit by a bus or a lorry and we won't be getting up even at 30MPH. Police use their little metal boxes too much in my opinion

Oh I agree...and first thing this morning I think you should drop by the local station and inform them of this misuse of their time.
The police are very appreciative of public input about this sort of thing....afterall, you're a taxpayer, and in effect they're there working for you. Let them know who the boss is.

Off to court this afternoon. Everything is agreed but the judge still wants us in. No idea why other than to waste our time and the Court's time.
