Im in a slight lull inbetween projects at the minute so it's pretty quiet for a change, won't last long though. So im currently also trying to look busy in the office while really doing virtually FA.

Having a meeting with crap builders at 6.00pm or in their email confirmation 16.00 hours which actually means 6.00pm in their world as they can't use the 24 hour clock system. And I let them in my house using sharp instruments since November

Spent the morning juggling between working and ringing insurance companies as my Mrs is out in the car today and she called me a couple of hours ago to say something fell off of a lorry smashing her windscreen. She is ok luckily but obviously pretty shaken, but am I allowed to leave to go help her and stuff....no.

Cheers mate she's ok, just frustrated at my works lack of flexibility, not like I ever have anytime off, I've not had a lunch break for 2 weeks as someone is off sick atm so a little bit of compassion wouldn't have gone amiss

Crap mate glad she's only shook up and not anything serious. Your work though sounds just like our place...they have no general idea in what happens in life, if it doesn't happen to them they don't believe it's even possible. The way companies treat their workers is beyond a joke! Hope you get to see her soon

Hope she is ok about it all Cavetroll, if it had been us Mrs Gee would've blamed me for it all - even the thing falling off the truck. Her favourite wine is in order by the sound of it. ;)

Fwiw, I've always found that windscreen companies can be remarkably helpful if you can get the car to them, rather than them coming to you.

Spending the day grinning after getting an offer from my first choice uni after an interview earlier this week. Things were looking a bit bleak as my safety net options were unsuccessful but first choice came through. I can only assume I must not have shown enough enthusiasm at the other interviews though.
