Cav has already indicated he has patches of amnesia from the day.

I'll say no more than that.

Been to hospital to see Dr for a check up on the shoulder, dressing came off and it looks great, I thought it was going to be a bit messy cause it’s been stinging a lot ? Very pleased as there are no complications. (y)

About 2-3 weeks , he said it needs to heal internally it’s still a bit swollen. Go on holiday in a couple of weeks so by the time I get back should be ok.
The end of a very long saga ;(

I had a day off so I took a BMW out for 3 hours and 85 miles of fun in the sun, the R1250R with the new 'Shift Cam' engine and a very nice TFT dash.

What can I say other than I was impressed, very impressed. The thing handles well in the two Dynamic modes and is soft and comfortable in Road with a softer throttle... I didn't try Rain mode.

The engine pulls hard from 3Krpm up with very little vibration and a nice surge above 5K when the cam shifts and keeps on pulling to the redline, it makes the same torque as the KTM 1290 but at lower revs making it deceptively fast with instant overtaking punch always available.
Handling is sure footed and fun, the weight is very low down and it mostly kept to the back roads just enjoying throwing it around, and the brakes are intense, the GT also has a full brembo setup but the BMW has a different rear caliper and partially linked brakes, also the best rear brake that I have ever experienced.

This was to see if I liked the engine and dash for the upcoming R1250RS, I really do.
Then the salesman pointed at a S1000R, after crunching numbers the sport model of that with all the extras included would be £70 a month less and I test ride one of those on Monday... Way less practical but the fun factor might be worth a test ride.

Then I got home, and snapped the peg off my side stand, then almost dropped the bike (facepalm)

A nice sharp drill bit and "Eazy-out" to the rescue and a random M6 bolt until the proper part arrives.

Just made a door jam from a plaster cast of my hand..just waiting for the plaster to set..as you can tell I'm thoroughly bored .

Waiting for the plasterer to come in at the weekend so absolutely no point doing any housework.

Putting furniture on flea bay... downsizing means so much surplus furniture and quite sad as some pieces mean a lot , but absolutely nowhere to put them ... but possibly time to move on emotionally as well

Playing shed Jenga.

Turns out it's quite tricky to fit a load of bike gear, gardening crap, and 2 adult push bikes into a standard garden shed..

It is possible tough.

Working, as always.
But I'm home now, & a chance to antagonise you lot with my posts in your threads.,.. (giggle)
Then early to bed, because it's an early for me tomorrow. Hopefully uneventful, & I'll get home early enough to mow the lawns, because it's starting to look more like a hay crop than a garden. :^
