Another quiet day... they replaced my endone with palexia which had the exact same effect on me, nauseous and floaty for about 4 hours. So I’ve dropped that all together and just on the slow release targin. Bit more pain but much nicer than having the room spin constantly.

Had a Physio review this afternoon once my head got straight and they are happy mobility wise to let me go home, so just have to convince the surgeon when she comes and reviews tomorrow.

The nurse that is on tonight, her husband had the same surgery 3 weeks ago. He’s also a bike rider and apparently he went for a ride yesterday and is paying the price today so she really impressed on me not to push too hard once I’m home.

Take it easy kiwi and hope the pain isn't too bad and you can chill on the sofa to start the recovery process.

Must be good to be home (y)

Yep heaps better to be home, still a bit of pain but so much nicer being in my own place. Still got to take it easy, basically like a broken bone, need 6 weeks for the fusion to set so have to behave for a while.

We got a new TV for the lounge so everything got moved around and the previous lounge TV ended up in the Kitchen so she could hardly complain was my theory :P

We only bought the original lounge TV 9 months ago but thinks have changed massively in that time. The new one has voice control if we want to change channel or ask it to search YouTube or find us a specific film to watch on Netflix. The picture is stunning now I've calibrated the screen and the viewing angles are much much better on the new screen.

Good upgrade and I'm pleased with it (y)

I’m on that road most weeks, what the M25 gives in jams and traffic, the A14 makes up for in sheer interminable boredom. Have fun!

Sat having coffee at the local rail college, they're having an open evening with a few rail companies giving out information about apprenticeships and training.

And some tours of a eurostar loco, inside, outside and underneath.

Definitely interesting, might have to get some applications sent out when i get home.

Road works and a shut lane. 72 minutes to get through 6.5 miles of the A14.
