Stacking our firewood delivery for when it does eventually go cold. I always feel happier with plenty of wood in the stores so the fires can burn 8)

Why ruin the surprise??
The red bellies aren’t overly dangerous, they have venom but it’s not highly toxic and you have to really harass them to get bitten.

My son got stung by 2 paper wasps at once a couple years back. Took me 6 months till he stopped having crippling anxiety about going into the front yard (the way out of the house). So I’m definitely not going to tell him about a snake that’s probably back in the bush somewhere. I dare say it’s not the first one that’s been in my yard, just the first one I’d seen.

If it was a brown, I would’ve had the snake catchers up here as soon as possible.

Enjoying being lazy on my week off and a bit of job hunting. Might go and mow the lawn in a bit before I take the bike out for a run up to squires for a burger and a chat with some friends, the Aberdeen Angus burgers are really good now they have a new chef. (nod)

Trying and failing to explain to Mrs Gee what a resonant frequency is when it’s making a noise in the central heating. She asked and then didn’t want to know. (gah)

And no, I wasn’t mansplaining it.

Lol, sounds similar with Jess and I, she asks a technical question then 5 mins later wishes she hadn’t.

If i spent 7 hours cleaning a car I would throw the keys away so no one could use it again.

Pfft. A few flakes of snow and people start giving up biking for the year.

i didn't say i had stopped riding. :P

But riding in leathers and summer boots is finished for this season.

I have a pair of these for the winter months. You should get some. They are warmer than normal boots, waterproof and a bit more substantial. Good for kicking the mirrors off cars when the driver tells you to grow up and buy a BMW. :D

Today I gave the car a quick wash and went to J&S to look at helmets, the GT air is 5 years old now and got dropped last month so it's time for a new one, does anyone on here use a Shark helmet? The Spartan carbon is pretty similar on spec to the GTA but £200 cheaper and a touch tight right at the top of the forehead. Would it bed in or be an annoyance forever?

I’ve got a shark vision R, it fitted me well straight away do can’t comment on bedding in tight spots sorry.

I had a shark that was tight on the forehead, it never bedded in for me. Only a couple of times was it uncomfortable though.

One of my lids had a tight spot right in the middle of my forehead (between my horns).
The lass at the dealership used the back of a teaspoon inside the lining to put a slight indentation in the foam & the problem went away.
Now I realise that's a. HUGE no-no & and she did say "Don't tell anyone" or something like that.....but the helmet fitted fine afterwards & I never had an issue with it.

Between family stuff I nipped up to Leeds to try some more lids on at Get Geared, drew a blank with just about everything so called in to J&S Leeds which is next door.

I have found that HJC helmets fit if I go up to XL which opens up some possibility's and another that seems to fit well is VOZZ, those strange rear opening helmets with no chin strap.
