Deciding whether to start a new phone contract today or not. Im with EE currently but run out of data prettt quickly (10GB per month) and also signal has got worse and a few other reasons making me want to leave. So will be joining Vodafone but as a SIM Only deal due to quite liking my phone that I have now (S7 edge). Can get a 40GB deal for £25 a month including Spotify. Also I asked whether Mars Associates get a discount with them and they said I do. I'm unsure whether that means if get a discount on top of a already discounted price but worth a try surely!!

Had my contract terminated with immediate effect.

The only time I've been anywhere near this happy about a contact being terminated was 7 years ago when I left permanent work behind.

Now looking forward to a week away with the family and back into an interview next week.

Happy days.

The project had so much prospect and a great tech team. Unfortunately the non-technical part of the team have massive ego's. The architect had enough after 9 months of being ignored, I'm amazed I lasted as long as I did.

Meh.. Contracting.. Easy come, easy go.

NEXT!

Started a new phone contract with Vodafone. It a good deal, 40GB, standard unlimited mins and texts etc, Spotify and all for £25 a month Sim Only. Only downside is I still got 20 days with EE but i havent got much time between now and then to pop to Vodafone to sort it all out so had to do it today. No problems though i dont mind they said they will refund me my first months pay win win

Sorry mate, I've had a lot on this week. I've got a plan to update the captcha, which should knock a lot of them out again.

Well after the twisted ankle incident at Jorja’s school athletics we had a much smoother event at the small schools carnival. She won her 100m heat and got third in the final, so through to the districts competition now! The Junior Girls relay was won by my daughters team as well so they’ll be running relay at districts as well :)

Had a really nice day. I planned a couple of weeks ago to see Blues v Norwich with Duke. Turns out a mate of mine is over from Tokyo so I agreed to meet him as well. He turned up with his wife. We had a meal and a drink then headed to the football. 2-2 which was a fair result.

Post match beers then home.

Was good to meet up, have a few beers, eat good food, watch average but still enjoyable football (for 45 minutes anyway) and meet new friends.

Good day all round.

Even the sun shone brightly.

Top beers in the micro brewery too..

Was feeling a bit rough all day, so I decided to jump on the bike for a night ride out, what a great time of the day/night to get out, roads clear, cool air, awesome fun.... Just got in.

Sweating. This week has been like an oven here. 38 in the shade on the forecasts, our thermometer says 48 in shade.

You can't stand in the sunshine.

Hottest we have been since living here..
