Roast Pork, Crackling, roasties, cabbage, carrots and peas with lots of gravy and apple sauce followed up by blackberry and apple crumble and ice cream. It was a feast, but I had a proper appetite and did it justice. Unfortunately there was insufficient for thirds on everything...

I went out yesterday to a new chicken place in Brum.
The softest and moistest chicken I've had had.
We shared half a chicken and a kilo of mixed wings.

It seems I’ve borrowed a time machine and gone back to the 70’s
it’s my third night in a row in the same hotel and eating off the same menu, so I’ve gone retro and ordered a prawn cocktail and a rump steak. Just waiting now to see if the power goes off or the waitresses go on strike.
P.S. No Blue Nun on the wine list.

Steak, big fat juicy 30 day hung fillet steak fried in butter with a butter/cream peppercorn sauce made in the same pan while the meat was resting. Oh and some chips.
Still full this morning.
