Did a slow cooked lamb shanks stew over the camp fire on the weekend. Browned them up first on the hot plate

1/2 hr prep
3 1/2 hrs slow cook

5 mins on a plate and then in the dark a possum tried climbing up Jess’ leg as she had her meal balanced on her knee, and hers all ended up in the dirt!! So I was the good bf and went halves in mine.

Back to London's finest street food, this is probably what I had missed most about working in London.

Today was the Peruvian Grill. Marinated and grilled chicken with rice and salad topped with chimichurri sauce. Fecking nom.

No, guess they have targeted the menu at the European pallet...

Where you working Jon? I especially love the street food in Camden - its probably one of the few places i'd want to live in London.

I'm up by regents park.

London is one place I'd never want to live. Used to stay at the wife's when we first met, she was in greater London and even that was too noisy for me. I'm used to the peace and quiet of a village.

I think there's too many compromises you have to make in a place like London - or most other big cities, for that matter, just for the 'pleasure' of living next to EVERYBODY ELSE!!
It's one thing if you grew up in a place like that....something else entirely if you didn't.

London Ugh! But the street food and Borough Market are two of its redeeming features.

After a week of fantastic fresh figs, tomatoes, olives, prosciutto and great wine it was back to normality with a couple of cheese and onion rolls and a brew today for lunch. (y)

!!!!!!?????
I've never even HEARD of a cheese & onion roll! What a peasant.

Sausages & browns, mushroom & cheese omelet, sourdough toast & butter. I sorta doubled-up on breakfast as it'll probably be the only time I eat today.
