OMDZ my misses won a homemade chocolate fudge cake from work. The lady who makes them uses her own special blend of ingredient and apprently she hasn't told anyone how to bake them as well as her....DAM IT IS BLOODY GOOD. It is pretty big so we gave a huge chunk to my partners parents as theres 4 of them in the house and only 2 of us here. Its light, fluffy, full of taste. Seriously amazing. Apprently this lady brings in cakes every so often for peoples families but their so good they eat them in the office!!

Screw it heres a picImage

Did an antipasti style of meal tonight, as our local deli had a deal on some new British made charcuterie, it would have been rude not to, so we got a pack each of three types of salami, air dried ham and coppa, we accompanied that lot with artichokes, olives, celery, ciabatta and wine.
‘‘Twas most excellent!

To celebrate MiniGee’s 15th Birthday on Thursday, we had a large chunk of the family (9 of us) round for Sunday lunch, roast chicken, carrots, leeks, savoy cabbage and roast potatoes for main, steamed sponge pudding with syrup and custard for dessert, then a decent selection of all British cheeses with a digestíf of choice and coffee to finish.
We were all utterly stuffed at the end for some reason, the offer of “wafer thin mints” was declined by most of us....
