Before you jump to criticising our mate Putin...
.....You just watch, our Navy will be doing the same "protecting our fisheries" before very long if this Brexshit continues.

Doubtful we have sufficient manpower or ships in the Navy to do that.

Or the Dutch, we could recommission Chatham Dockyard especially for them, it’s not like they’ve never been there before....

Probably plenty of migrants crossing the Channel in rubber dinghies over the next year who might be willing to help too.

With what??
Switzerland doesn't go to war with anyone....when other people fight, the Swiss stay at home & eat chocolate & count their money.
Place looks like some vast idyllic model train layout.

Yes, and as a land locked nation they also don’t have a navy.

They've got a Lake Navy haven't they? It's a land locked navy.

Yep.....it's part of their army, or their "coast guard". The 'Lakes Flotilla', IIRC.

The Swiss Navy makes the Salvation Army look like a credible fighting force.

Speaking of the Swiss.....

In March 2007, a 170-person Swiss military unit got lost during a training exercise and inadvertently crossed 1.5km into Liechtenstein. The accidental invasion ended when they realized their mistake and turned back.
The Swiss army later informed Liechtenstein of the incursion and offered official apologies, to which an official spokesman responded "No problem, these things happen"

(facepalm) (rolf) That is fantastic!!

Putin has sent a couple of nuclear bombers and a cargo transporter to Venezuela

Excellent distraction techniques employed by this man. He must love his chess.

Yep. The same thing crossed my mind. Not that much difference with those larger planes other than what's on board. A fighter is just that, and not much else....a bomber sized plane can do almost anything....except be a fighter.

A long flight like that is a good shake down to make sure it's working ok and it's a decent test of enemy response times.

Looks like it's flaring up again.

Turkey is attacking the Kurds who helped defeat ISIS.

ISIS have managed to break out of a couple of camps and a prison

Syria are moving troops up to the Turkish border.

Kurds and Syria have agreed to fight alongside each other.

The US has pulled out of the area.

Russia has not pulled out of the area.

We could see a NATO ally being directly attacked.

*If I'm reading this right*

The Kurds were backed by the US in attacks against ISIS, and now they're teaming up with Syria to counter Turkish incursions into that country??
