Weekend Plans

Post by Kwacky »

So what's everyone up to?

I think I'm going to take it easy. Apart from a birthday party tomorrow I'll be relaxing.

Mrs Gee and Mini Gee are both on half term hols as of this afternoon, I'll be doing well if I can get either of them to do anything tomorrow or Sunday. However sometime tomorrow I'll be nipping over to a small farm I've found where they raise their own livestock, have it slaughtered locally and sell the meat from the farmhouse kitchen, it's the best beef I've found, so we're having a steak night tomorrow and there'll be a nice joint in the freezer ready for next week.

Perkles, I'm moving about 160 miles so it's a bit of a commute twice a week :D

Blow torches are for making and moulding copper and silver plus soldering , have not used it on people just me.

Had a bit of an accident couple of months ago. I'd made a conical copper disc and wanted to drill a small hole, so held said disc with left thumb and finger and set drill to high speed... I think you can guess what happened next . I managed to superglue it together but seem to have lost all the feeling in the top of my thumb now ;(

Tonight will be chilling and either catching last weeks moto gp or going to the pub.

Hopefully the rest of the weekend will be quiet. The only things I have to do is help someone setup a computer, clean out the guinea pig hutches, and look after the boy on Sunday while the girl one goes to a party.

I have a few bits on etsy forum , but most of it I give away to charity auctions. I've sold a few items but never have enough confidence in my work .

I like moulding copper and silver leaves and incorporating them onto bracelets and chains , although my daughter did liken one piece as resembling lady bits !!! and lots of hammer work . It's not everyones cup of tea

I get lost in solder, it's something I love doing as silver to copper is sometimes difficult but when it happens its a great feeling , just call me a very sad bag lady :)
