One of those calls

Post by Kwacky »

Father in law called, mother in law has been taken to hospital with a suspected stroke.

Sam is at work, I've got the kids, he's a worrier. Ah joy.

Sam has to now wait at work for a replacement to come in.

Guess we're all playing the waiting game.

That's a tough one Kwacky, have been through this myself, FiL falls to pieces as well when MiL has been seriously ill in the past. There's no easy fix, I can only hope it's not too severe, best mates Dad has only just come out of a stroke unit and into a nursing home, but will never go home again. Tears you apart watching.

The hospital are running tests but think it's a transient ischaemic attack (TIA)

She's staying in overnight regardless.

It sounds as if FIL is already worrying himself into joining her. By all accounts he's already hyperventilated. Mrs Kwacky is also a worrier so she's getting herself all worked up.

Jane's dad has lots of TIAs.

Scary but hopefully medication will stop them. He doesn't worry about them anymore.

Love to Mrs Kwacky :)

Thanks everyone.

She's back home, which is good news. She's got full use of her arm and her leg but she says both feel heavy and are slow to respond.

The TIA didn't do anything else, so her face and speech are fine. Usual advice given about exercise and diet. Fingers crossed it's a one off.

That's good to hear, hopefully her arm and leg will sort themselves out over the next couple of days.
