Ferrari California

Post by duke63 »

So a friend was chatting to me today about how he had seen a Ferrari California in the petrol station on the Penn Rd in Wolverhampton. When he went in to pay for his fuel the attendant told him it belonged to Wolves player Bakary Sako.

League One players earning enough to drive round in £150k motors at 26 yrs old? Car didn't look like it was well cared for he said.

I see Wolves have not learned lessons about paying silly wages to only half decent footballers.

That's an FF. Four wheel drive.

California is a convertible.

Sort of related there's someone who must live near me who drives a Ferrari f430 spider, as I keep seeing him on my commute home.
I was in my cage one evening and he passed me like I was waiting at the lights, so fast I just got a blur of red.

Then late last week I saw him again, this time I was on my bike....

So I dropped back, until he was stuck in traffic, dropped her into 3rd & passed him at full chat (my un-baffled arrow will have been inches from his face) then I backed off in front of him so he got the full pop & crackle. Then I undertook the traffic he was trapped behind & trundled on my merry way. (whew)

It's been too wet since then (I suspect for either of us), but judging from the frustratingly flashing headlamps I could see in my mirrors, it isn't over yet. (smirk)

on the car spotted theme, I saw an Ariel atom the other day in traffic. I was a passenger and on the phone at the time and stopped mid conversation to say "ooooooooooooooooooo, look, look, Ariel Atom" bit of a gay reaction really (makeup)

He's up and down the Penn Rd all the time ... I pointed him out to the Spudlets when he left the local Tesco store and he let the Spudlets sit in it

We get loads of reaction to our car. I got photographed in the car on a car park on the first day we collected it :? I just slump in the seat. It's amazing how people aspire to cars and judge people on what they drive.

It's a great way of meeting people though as you always get someone who comes over to ask you about it. You do get followed occasionally too, mainly by teenagers in cars wanting a race :P

That Ferrari could be a nice car, but not in white (giggle)

I find that people are less likely to tailgate me in the Zafira ever since the missus left the handbrake off and rolled it into a tree. I still haven't fixed it so it looks like I'm a crap driver who backs into things, which is totally not true.

I usually scrape down the side of things!

The bassist in my band drove a hearse for a little while as his day to day car, was great for transporting gear to gigs to be fair but a nightmare to find parking spaces big enough
Remember: If in Doubt use Full Throttle, It may not make the situation any better, But it will end the suspense...

I was telling another friend about the Ferrari in Wolverhampton today. He reckons Sako has had two nicked because he left the keys in the car on his drive. (facepalm)

The "other Rocket" whom I mentioned in your welcome thread drove an AMG Mercedes SLK. When I went to his house once to collect some parts for my bike, Deany spent the whole time sitting in it.
(blush) Very embarrassing. (it was rather lovely though).
