That's what we want to do as well. When we get rid of sky it should save us a bit of dosh but mainly the fact that Sky is a lot of channels mainly of reality crap that we just don't watch. Prime/ netflix and having Now TV we would then have freedom of anything, which we like the sound off!

A letter from work telling me I'm not getting a pay rise this year.

You know that advice about sleeping on a response when you're angry? Yeah, fook that, my email has already gone to the head of the department.

A letter from work telling me I’m at a meeting tomorrow discussing options for “amicable parting of the ways”, due to the current financial situation (or lack of one).

Many thanks Brexiteers, but I’m not entirely sure exchanging a decent, well paying job for a nebulous, uncertain future I can’t pay for things with is a good trade, so excuse me for feeling bitter and I won’t be posting for a while.

That sucks Deegee, very sorry to hear that.

I work for an Italian company, and probably only a board room decision from the same.

Very upsetting, not helped by the fact that I recall that you had expected the political situation was going to lead to this.?

Anyway, I hope the "amicable" proves to be unexpectedly generous for you, and that you'll spend some time enjoying the reduced stress, travel & customary muppetry your role seemingly involved around. Instead more quality time to spend with your nearest & dearest.

Shite news Deegee, been there and know how it feels, and will be looking at the same again in a couple of years when our field dries up.

Fingers crossed for you in finding another gig, I have no real perception of the opportunities over there, so hope you find something soon.

Sorry to hear that Deegee, I hope you move on to better things soon.

As for the post, a pair of Brembo discs for a KTM... Very fast to say that the predicted delivery date was up to the 6th of August... The pads too, awesome.

Pads are not so awesome but not bad either, they sent SBS RS rather than the Bendix MRR which I ordered and didn't contact me before posting them out...

I will run these pads as I was looking seriously at these SBS anyway but it's not ideal, could have got them cheaper elsewhere.

I've heard of supply issues with the Bendix MRR and even they have stopped making them and places are just clearing stock. Not 100% sure if true just what I heard, but make sense on what you have said.

The SBS RS are good but having used both I would say the MRR are better if you can change them I would.

Not sure tbh. I bought spontaneously and just got home to a pile of parcels and first one I opened. Will have to have a proper look later.

I emailed them and they responded at this hour, I went straight to the KTM section and missed the Bendix main page which is here...
https://www.averysmotorcycles.co.uk/sho ... brake_pads" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

No more Bendix pads, which they claim were identical anyway, I'm not convinced that they were 100% identical apart from branding.
