If that photo is genuine, he will be lucky if he has not done himself permanent damage I would have thought.

Any break/fracture that requires that length of plate and 12 screws to repair is not minor , he will suffer with that for years to come I imagine , every time it gets cold and damp , good job he's loaded and lives in the sunshine . I wouldn't like to hazard a guess how or if it will affect his racing .

How come the screws are in the second pic, before it's been straightened out??

I had my collar bone plated maybe 8 years ago now and I still can't wear a rucksack with anything more that a few pound in it with out discomfort on the left clavicle.

Its never the same and mine wasn't bad.

The first photo is after his first operation

The second photo is the reason for him needing a second operation

Thank you. That definitely makes a lot more sense.
I think I'd have quit before the "needing a second operation"-part.

While that seems sensible, even to the gumboot walking disaster I am, it’s not the attitude that wins you 6 MotoGP World Champs.

It’s a funny old thing, all the older people tell you when you are young to be nicer to your body because you will regret it when you are older. But as a 20-30’s lad you just can’t fathom that. So you keep on treating your body with little regard.

I for one wish I’d listened a bit better.

Going to be a good championship then - lots of variety. Great for all the rookies and youngsters.

I dont like people getting hurt, but will be an entertaining year!

As you say, its not good seeing serious injuries but the way he rides it was inevitable that eventually one would bite him hard.

I reckon it will be Bautista. They need a young up and coming rookie - he's looking good.

With Miller in the other seat thats a cracking lineup.

I reckon they will support Zarco well from now on too.
