Fenati

Post by Kwacky »

He's been sacked by his team.

I hope he never gets another ride.

He's such a prick.

Good! I'm guessing he won't have a contract next season either

what he did was standard practice in the pro-am LC series along with hitting the kill switch and on a couple of occasions actually pulling the key from the ignition , it was considered all part of the fun .....

Glad he’s been sacked, that is unforgivable. The vid below shows what happens when a front brake lever is pulled accidentally, I was watching when this happened btw.

Mansi (the rider he did it to) rides for Fenati's team he had signed for next year so will be interesting to see if they cancel his contract for next year...

I'm glad he's been sacked - the guy is mentally unstable imo. Not the first time he's had trouble either ....

Thomson Reuters

LONDON (Reuters) - The boss of Italian bike maker MV Agusta has vowed to rip up a contract with Romano Fenati after the Moto2 rider caused uproar by reaching over to grab a rival's brake lever while racing at speed in Sunday's San Marino Grand Prix.

Fenati was disqualified on the spot and barred from the next two races.

"This has been the worse and saddest thing I ever seen in a bike race. True sportsmen would never act this way. If I would be (MotoGP promoters) Dorna I would ban him from world racing," Giovanni Castiglioni told his 565,000 followers on Instagram.

"Regarding his contract for a future position as rider of MV Agusta Moto2, I will oppose myself in every way to stop it. It won't happen, he doesn't represent our company true values," added Castiglioni.

Fenati, who also caused headlines in 2015 when he was penalized for kicking out at Finnish rider Niklas Ajo in a Moto3 warm-up in Argentina, had been due to join MV Agusta's new Moto2 project next season.

The project is in partnership with Forward Racing, whose rider Stefano Manzi was on the receiving end of Fenati's actions.

So I read, “Yeah ok I did grab his brake, but he was asking for it - so it’s not really my fault and i’m sorry (that I got caught).

Definitely a Bell End.

I've just watched the race.

Fenati seems to have been involved in a few tussles. I saw at one point he was up to 13th place then dropped right off the leader-board. That was before his other scraps so I reckon things started mid race.

The way I see it, it really is no different from him trying to stick something in the spokes of a front wheel.
