Crap practise session. The circuit resurfacing appears to have been a disaster.

Rossi, Rins and Miller have said if it rains tomorrow then it won’t be safe to race.

Race has been rescheduled to 11.30 to avoid the rain.

It's 90% probability to rain at 10am and rain all day so not sure what they hope to achieve tbh.

Nothing I suspect. I wonder if the whole day might be postponed til Monday.

Apparently the riders are contracted to start the race but not to finish it. I wonder if they might do just one lap.

My son was in a press conference on Thursday where Alex Espargaro said that Marquez was on the Ducati he would win every race. He reckons the bike would suit Marquez perfectly.

Do it Marc. :D

What a joke. Silverstone need to look hard at that surface else it's a dry running only track now.

Feel sorry for people who paid and went to watch.... ;(

Yea think we are all in that boat of waiting until Silverstone have their official word on what fans will get. Nice to get a video message from the Race director, but should of cancelled it straight away really

Yep.....3-5 mins. is spot-on for that kind of an injury .....saying he's "lucky" is an understatement to say the least. And there's no 'practically' about it....they saved his life, no question.

Just had this email:

Hi Simon,

We just wanted to keep you up to date and let you know that we’re in discussion with our insurers regarding your compensation for the cancellation of the GoPro British Grand Prix MotoGP™.

Please be assured that we’re working around the clock. However with all insurance claims this will take a little time to resolve. We will provide you with a further update next week.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

It's Silverstone fault not the weather that the event didn't go ahead.

Therefore they should take.responsibility and refund people.

I'm only glad we bailed at 12noon rather than waiting till 4pm

Me and my dad left at 3pm as we could tell it was never going to go ahead while they had standing water on track. Me and my dad laughed when we saw them get the tractor out and the lorry out going over the same bits to get rid of the water......WHILE THE RAIN WAS STILL AT ITS HEAVIEST
