Cal doesn't sound happy

With this bike that doesn't work! So I've now got to start again. Maybe I've got to try and ride like Marquez or someone! But we've got no reference like that.

“I don't want to change my riding style because I believe Lorenzo is one of the best. So I think we have to do a bit of both. They have to change the bike towards that sort of riding style, because the corner speed I'm carrying now, they are saying is too much, but it's also still less than a Yamaha, or less than the Honda.

“To be competitive with the other guys you have to do what they are doing. I'm not saying every bike has to be the same. We definitely gain in braking, which is strong with this bike for sure. But I'm not the latest braker in the world. I brake early, try and release the brake and roll through the corner. So it's difficult.”

Surely he knew this before he signed.

I want him to do well but I hope he doesn't start moaning about poor performance when he knew this bike's weakness before agreeing to ride it. Surely he also talked about his style and how development would be directed before agreeing to anything.

I have no idea why he moved over to Ducati. He spent last season changing his riding style, which goes some way to explaining why he fell off so many times. Surely he wanted a full season of simply racing rather than a complete change of bike and set up around him?

Ironically he wanted factory status but now is an open class rider.

I guess the bumper pay cheque will sweeten it though.

That's a shame if it is the case. He looked like he would have been one of the front runners.

Let's hope they get something sorted out so we can see him race.

He had no other options as i understand it.

I thought his Tech 3 contract would not be renewed and i suspect at best he would have been on the Open class Yamaha if he had stayed with them.

The irony is he may have won races on the tech3 in open class, but it can understand why he went to ducati. It will just take time..

I Think he went for the cash, if Rossi couldn't hack how did Crutchlow honestly think he could? he,s good but he not that good, which begs the question why have I got him in the fantasy league ? cos Im a numpty :)

I think there is more to it than just wanting the cash.

I read somewhere how only factory riders get all their flights/accommodation/meals etc sorted for them. Everyone else has to do it themselves. That must be a real ball ache to sort that for every race of the season and very distracting too.

Plus he now gets to give input into how the bike changes and develops whereas before his opinion was never taken into account at all.

And Rossi didn't ? nah, not so sure, I like Crutchlow but only Stoners got the best out of the Ducati so far, genuinely hope he does well though

They ignored Rossi and Stoner. Which is why some of them no longer have a job there.
