Sorry to be another killjoy, but fwiw that was my thought when I watched it.:
If a gun misfires, or doesn't fire as that one sounded to, there is no reason whatsoever why anyone would look down the barrel .?
Apart from the fact that you can't see anything anyway, looking in the barrel would tell you nothing if you could see down it.
Lastly I can't conceive of any way that a cartridge round could spontaneously discharge or delay discharge.?
