I read a police blog the other day from a serving officer. Moped and fatal knife attacks are top priority for the Met Police and it's working.

The flip side is only 5% of shop lifting cases and burglaries are investigated and cleared.

Non fatal knife attacks are not a priority.

Vehicle crime is not a priority.

Cannabis is ignored unless it's large scale.

Most muggings without a weapon are just given a crime reference number

Still have time to patrol Wales looking for small number plates though

Good they should be doing this. But shouldn't be putting other crimes to the back of the pile that's the issue.
