Fwiw I agree with Cookie, in so much as it looks too much like the current Jap bikes rather than having that "Ducati Exotica" stamp.
Having said that, it's as nice as the nicest looking of the aforementioned offerings.

I'm out. Like Cookie says, too much plastic. It's not looking special and there's nothing about the design to suggest it's a Ducati iconic bike.

I'm also starting to think that reusing the pantigirdle design on every bike detracts from the desirability.

If your getting something a little bit special, then you want people to be able to tell what it is from a bit of a distance, wouldn't you?

That V4 motor. Two starter motors due to to the very high compression ratio.

When you've created something that beautiful, why would you want to hide it behind all that plastic?? (shake)

Need to sell something I don't need for something I do :D. 14000rpm rev limit and 205 bhp. With 120nm of torque.

I'm clearly old and over the hill. The prospect of over 200 bhp on a road bike does absolutely nothing for me.

I'm sure it will be lovely but i have to say i'm a bit meh about it.

165hp on a road bike was enough and i'd had enough of that.

If I'm honest then I would agree it's way to much for a road bike. Even my Multi could get me in serious trouble with the ease that the motor spins up.

Still should be able to wangle a test ride next year just to see what it's like.

Is it me or does it look a little ugly?

The performance doesn't seem much if any increase over the 1299 tbh. Dont get me wrong it doesn't need more it's just with a new motor you expect an increase but I suppose they habe lost 299cc.

I can't zoom in that well on the phone, but note you've said it I can see the fails in the shopping.

Check the top middle bolt on the rocker cover, it's cut in half..

Good spot Monty
