Midweek ride out Wales Wednesday 3rd July (Rossgo)

Post by Kwacky »

[quote="Rossgo":1b4fkm6h]Giving plenty of time for this one as last one failed!

Wednesday 3rd July

This would be a ride through the Brecons up to Aber, across to Newtown, down to Crossgates then back Brom way

Suggestions on roads is helpful otherwise I've planned a route already and I can just use that

All weather dependant

Let me know

Wales is much better midweek. Less old bill and less dickheads and quieter roads.

Fellas -

Quick question if you do fancy going

I went to a place called Elan Valley yesterday (lots of reservoirs) beautiful scenery etc and the tourist centre had a wide selection of cakes!!

However they aren't fast roads, think we wrre doing 30 - 40MPH tops but the scenery is out of this world. Lots of pic opportunities. Also went down Aberystwyth Mountain Road which leads to Devils Bridge- again defo not a fast road but scenery incredible (mountain section)

Personally I'd love to go again but trying to decide whether you guys would be up for me adding that into the Route. (Route will be changed and adjusted to add this section in - If I can find it on the map!)

Anyway general thoughts on this

If I go to Wales it's for a thrash and the scenery is just a blur (giggle) . Thats the beauty of Wales its big enough and quiet enough to have a bit of fun in relative safety without upsetting anyone, but you do what you want Rossgo it's no problem either way buddy (y)

It really is beautiful. I do fully understand the thrash lol!! It's the B4574 starts off a mountain road then leads to being a lovely B road which you can thrash through really. This leads to the A4120 (Devils bridge by the cafe)

Take a look on Google I think it's about 30 miles in total from Elan Valley to Devils Bridge

Its an idea
