Normally after a ride out I like to do a little write up to help me process what's occured.

It normally takes ages as I'm typing it out on my phone, watching TV and generally not concentrating.

So as I sit here across the road from where we started in Newtown and chowing down on a Mighty Bucket for one, I think I'll keep it short and sweet...

That was f*cking great!

Phew.

Back home safe & sound.

My arse is not match fit, after around 200 miles I'm fit to drop. What's that all about?

The A483 is definitely my type of road. Fast, twisty but not too tight (as I'm shite at tight turns) and good visibility.

Heading out I stayed with Duke and Kwacky for about 5 bends before they were gone!
But after an evening with them my brain has recalibrated.
Due to the roads and the company, my comfort zone is at least 20mph higher now. It was just what I needed to blast the cobwebs out. My solo ride the other week didn't even come close to it!

I may have even seen a maximum snooker break on the Speedo! (tmi)

Stonking ride out. Great roads, great company and home to bath and a few beers. That A488 from Crossgates to Knighton is worth a trip on its own. Lovely quiet, twisty and undulating piece of road. Must try and do it again soon. Cheers Kwacky and Itchy.

Did just manage one quick photo stop on the way back. Also had a chat to a biker in distress, though the AA was on the way to recover him.

It was a good time to get out. Most of the roads were pretty clear.
