Are the BBS trips the ones with loads of free instruction stuff and relatively low numbers?

From what I've heard from Gary (one of the blokes who runs BBS) it's a great track experience. No pressure to push, go out when you want, great instruction and Think with numbers they pretty much have the same guys go and they don't take crap from people who ride like nobs! This is what's appealing to me to be honest seems more relaxed approach to the experience

It's had to get on a BBS event as most of them are regulars who book as soon as a date is announced. Everything I've heard about their events is positive.

I too would like to do one. I had one booked a couple of years ago but family events took over.

Maybe next year.

I too have confirmed for Cartagena in October ;).... well about 1/2 hr ago ha ha.

To answer your question Cav, it is a laid back affair, full tyre support in the pits, fuel on site always, plenty of water on site and three top instructors to help with anything to get you riding better. Open pit lane all day, hour break for lunch. Never busy, busy on track, if it is ride the pits and make some space and get back on it again. Full on support, hotels are always good, full breakfast and evening meals part of the deal as well.
I have been now for a few years, and in the main the same groups of people go. The more everyone knows each other the better track manners. If anyone is out of order a quick chat from Gary does the job.
Always someone to help if you have problems, generally a great bunch. Here are a few snaps from the trip a few weeks back.

Here is a little onboard, not my best lap of the three days, hopefully I have this on vid with someone following me... however there is a close move on this around 2.30 on the vid.... It was tight enough to put me off my stride, this was on day two I think... ok if your a racer, but I am not lol, scared the crap out of me as I was so focused on my own ride, I then lost it for a little bit and came in for a chill.

Crap, that did seem close. He was flying but all the same, you would have thought a bit of room wasn't too much to ask for.

Ha ha it was, even watching it back makes me jump lol... these guys are racers and its obviously second nature, they are normally two or three together so I was expecting more, hence the look around. Still a great deal safer than a typical track day. Cant grumble if that's it for 3 days solid track use.

Edit > plus these guys were in the 1.40 something, mine were Plus 2 mins... big difference in speed for sure.

Given the lads speed it was too close imho, if you'd tipped in a little quicker or later you'd both have been in trouble - and it's the overtaking rider than should make sure his overtake was safe.

If you'd shown that vid to the TDO he'd have had to have a chat with the rider, I'd also question whether they were in the correct group tbh.

Yes it is open pit lane and to be fair you tend to create your own groups after a while, in terms of going out on track when you see certain people out there.

It was mentioned and dealt with, I don't think that the powers to be have seen my footage, I might post in the album on face book to see if I get a comment or two (devil) ;)
